Climate Week NYC 2019 – New York, NY

Partnership for Policy Integrity (PFPI) will be hosting two screenings of BURNED as part of UN Climate Week NYC 2019, at the 500 Park Avenue Screening Room, 500 Park Avenue (59th St), New York, NY on Tuesday, September 24th at 1:30-2:30pm and again at 3:00-4:00pm. There will be a 30-minute Q&A following each screening about the impact of the exploding biomass and wood pellet industries on forests and the climate, including an overview of the lawsuit filed against the European Union for promoting forest biomass as climate-friendly (www.eubiomasscase.org).  The panel will include Burned filmmaker Lisa Merton, Dr. Mary Booth (coordinator of EU lawsuit and Director of the Partnership for Policy Integrity), and Nick Bell, forest campaigner with SOS Forêt France.
